Paul Browne is the Founder and CEO of Green Crowd. A Chartered Accountant, he holds a Commerce degree from NUI Galway and an MBA in Strategy & Finance.
Paul has extensive experience in renewable energy development, investment and project finance. He co-developed and managed renewable energy investment vehicles including Eider Renewables Limited and Eider Solar LLP, a London-based solar PV investment fund, and also co-founded Solarstream Limited, an Irish solar PV installation and development company.
His experience in structuring, financing and developing renewable energy projects led to the establishment of Green Crowd, with the aim of connecting investors with sustainable investment opportunities and providing renewable energy projects with access to alternative sources of capital.
Donal brings over 20 years of finance and leadership experience across regulated organisations, multinational businesses and professional services.
Throughout his career, he has developed extensive experience in financial strategy, budgeting and forecasting, corporate governance, risk management, treasury, internal audit, regulatory compliance and board reporting. He has also led major strategic and organisational projects, including business transformation and the implementation of improved financial systems and controls.
His combination of commercial, financial and governance expertise provides Green Crowd with strong financial oversight and supports the company in assessing investment opportunities, managing risk and maintaining robust financial and regulatory standards as the business continues to grow.
Janine brings over 15 years of experience in accounting, administration and operations to her role as Operations Manager at Green Crowd. Since joining the company in 2021, she has played a central role in the development of its operational and regulatory framework.
Janine led Green Crowd’s successful authorisation process with the Central Bank of Ireland, resulting in the company becoming an authorised Crowdfunding Service Provider.
She oversees the company’s day-to-day operations, including regulatory and operational processes, investor administration and the coordination of projects across the business. Janine continues to play a key role in supporting Green Crowd’s growth and the development of its renewable and sustainable investment offering.
