Calculate Your Ability To Bear Loss
This calculator helps you simulate your ability to bear loss. It is recommended that you do not invest more than 10% of your net worth.
You can use the Green Crowd calculator to calculate your net worth or you can follow the guidelines below:
- What is your regular net income over the past 12 months?
Your net income is generally your salary, less taxes. - What income, other than your regular net income have you had over the past 12 months?
If you have other regular income such as interests or dividends that are regularly paid to you, then that income should be included here (less taxes). - What is the approximate total value of your net assets including financial investments and any cash deposits but excluding personal and investment property and pension funds?
All savings accounts, investment accounts and any investments in shares or other investments should be included here. You should not include your principal private residence, secondary properties or any investment properties. Pension Funds should also not be included. - What is the approximate net total value of your financial commitments including regular, existing or future commitments over the last 12 months?
All mortgage and loan repayments and any household expenditure should be included here.
Please note that the calculator is for illustrative purposes only and should not be construed as financial advice. Any prospective investors should seek their own independent financial and/or legal advice prior to investing.
